The domino effect of coaching

What makes a coaching experience a life long benefit?

Of the clients who undergo a form of coaching, whether it be life, business, career, (either privately or in the workplace), coaching done right, can have an impact to the full spectrum of your life.

When striving to achieve a coaching goal, it usually uncovers limitations we place on ourselves. These limitations are usually not just in your business or part of your professional capacity. Self-limitations are exactly that, limitations of the self, of the believed identity. Lack of drive and accountability in a professional sense, tends to link directly to you, as a whole. It is likely that it tends to link as your identity and behaviour as a mother too. Not always in a negative sense! In fact, most mothers who have winning solutions on the domestic front, can leverage the same domestic solutions when managing teams, or managing a business.

For example, on a professional level, you may need to advance your leadership skills, and not take the responsibility of your team on your shoulders. Seeking professional coaching, a coach will design options based on your HOLISTIC experience to achieve the accountability you desire in your team. Coaching helps you to remove segmentation and roadblocks when looking for self driven solutions. Reffering to past experiences and successful tactics used in other areas of your life will help you create solutions. These solutions are already backed by previous success, they are backed by the clients experience. This translates to things that are most likely to be successful in the current situation (tried and tested confidence), or build a strong foundation to build on the successful ideas. Is developing accountability in your team at it's core, different to building accountability in your workplace team? Yes, how? No, what worked with your family accountability structure? How can it be applied to your workplace situation and grow your leadership skills?

This also works in reverse. When clients achieve goals through coaching, or see their improvement and are enthusiatic at work to take on new and challemging situations, we have ourselves a happy working mother! We all know, us mothers, what it's like to have a bad work day, and carry that energy through the door with us when we get home. Faced with children and cooking dinner, running errands etc, all with that negative energy lingering, it is not uncommon to pass on the stressors, let alone the energy, to the members in our home. A woman who is thriving in a professional sense, will take the energy, but her learnings, and transfer them in her home. Sometimes subconsciously.

The bottom line -

1. We want to be positive influences on our children, professional development can assist in developing self confidence

2. Coaching can bring a sense of fulfilment, as the solution are within you

3. Coaching skills are wholistic and transferable
